The history of burlesque is the history of parody and the history of pressing boundaries. Drawing from the rich and varied images of burlesque over the ages, The DIVA or Die Cabaret takes the audience on a voyeuristic journey allowing them a sensuous peek at the bold women and times of burlesque. First introduced at the 2012 DIVAfest, Red Velvet, now assisted by Dola Belles, has continued to bring today’s look at burlesque in monthly DIVA or Die reviews, offering women the opportunity to claim their power and strut their stuff in an art form that goes back to the Greeks.
